NUBURU advances $2.2m blue-laser rover opportunity, supporting progress toward 2026 revenue targets for LaserTech business line

26 d ago

NUBURU Inc. of Centennial, Colorado, a defense and security platform company, has provided an update on its LaserTech Business Line commercial pipeline as of 30 June 2026. Centered on Lyocon S.r.l. and supported by a strategic collaboration with SunCubes S.r.l., the update highlights a $2.2 million customer quotation under evaluation for a next-generation integrated blue-laser platform for autonomous terrestrial rovers. The quotation is not a signed order or recognized revenue, pending customer approval, technical and commercial agreement, delivery scheduling, and regulatory requirements. If awarded, the opportunity would be staged between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. The LaserTech Business Line’s unaudited commercial tracker shows base 2026 visibility of about $1.07 million, including planned consulting. A best-case 2026 scenario reaches up to $2.16 million if quotations under evaluation are awarded and delivered in the expected period. Aggregate quotations under evaluation total about $2.39 million. The proposed rover configuration includes ten 125W blue-laser modules per vehicle, totaling 1.25kW of installed laser power. This represents a second-generation platform developed with a customer that has had a commercial relationship with Lyocon since 2025. NUBURU’s technology-factory operating model positions Lyocon as the Photonics & Laser Factory, responsible for laser-source design, optics, electronics, module assembly, integration, and testing. The model aims to generate standalone products and revenue while contributing reusable modules to integrated mission packages. Other factories include Orbit (software), a Maddox joint venture (deployable manufacturing), Tekne (defense mobility, pending acquisition), and SunCubes (beam-control technology). Beyond terrestrial rovers, the same photonics-factory model supports emerging underwater applications through the SunCubes DEEP LIGHT wireless-power platform. Management believes the commercial activity demonstrates growing market adoption of blue-laser technologies and supports execution of the firm’s Defense & Security platform strategy.
