ASRock Rack 2UXGI-THOR: At Computex 2026, ASRock Rack unveiled the 2UXGI-THOR, a 2U short-depth AI edge server built around NVIDIA’s Thor SoC (IGX Thor platform) for industrial and medical markets, combining Arm-based processing with a Blackwell GPU and an RTX PRO video card to handle real-time sensor data at the edge. This unconventional server, displayed at the trade show, targets search intent for semiconductor, AI chip, and edge computing news by offering a niche alternative to standard x86 or Grace-based MGX servers. The 2UXGI-THOR is based on NVIDIA’s IGX T7000 motherboard, which integrates a Thor module with 14 Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU cores, an NVIDIA Blackwell integrated GPU, 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a ConnectX-7 NIC. ASRock Rack packs this into a 2U chassis with dual 800W redundant power supplies, an ASPEED AST2600 BMC for remote management, and a single FHFL PCIe slot for an NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 or 6000 video card to provide the bulk of AI processing power.
