In a detailed review of the Dell EMC VEP4600 powered by an Intel Xeon D-2187NT processor, the 16-core server with 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and ten 10GbE ports is highlighted as a compelling $495 bargain for network gateway and uCPE applications, matching search intent for cost-effective enterprise server hardware. The 1U system measures roughly 15 inches deep and includes front-panel LED status, two USB 3.0 ports, a serial port, and a management port. An ASPEED BMC provides additional serial and management access. In the center, two rNDC carriers house quad-port Intel X710 cards, delivering eight extra SFP+ 10G ports with distinctive status LEDs. On the right side, the Xeon D-2187 SoC integrates two Intel X722 10G SFP+ ports, plus four Intel i350-am4 1GbE ports for high-quality connectivity.
