AMD AAI 2026: MSI Launches 6th Gen AMD EPYC Server Portfolio
Supermicro announced its next-generation H15 server portfolio powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC 9006 Series CPUs, delivering up to 256 cores and 512 threads with a 1.7x generational CPU performance improvement, 2X PCIe bandwidth, and 2.6X higher memory bandwidth for cloud, enterprise, storage, HPC, and agentic AI workloads. The H15 family, built on Supermicro’s Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) architecture, includes purpose-built systems: Hyper for enterprise and AI inference, CloudDC for cloud-scale environments, GrandTwin for scale-out, FlexTwin for high-density liquid-cooled deployments, Petascale Storage supporting up to 4.8PB per system, and SuperBlade for rack-scale HPC and AI. Complementing the servers, Supermicro expanded AMD GPU-powered AI infrastructure with new 5U PCIe GPU servers (AS-5126GS-TNRT/TNRT2) supporting up to ten AMD Instinct MI350P GPUs with 144GB HBM3e memory each, and the Supermicro AMD Helios Platform—a liquid-cooled 72-GPU rack-scale solution combining AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, 6th Gen EPYC CPUs, AMD Pensando Pollara 400 AI NIC, and ROCm software for large-scale AI training and inference. At Computex 2026, Supermicro demonstrated the densest EPYC 9006 rack implementation with 168 CPUs and 43,008 cores in a 48U rack using the H15 1OU FlexTwin system. The portfolio targets search intent for semiconductor, AI chip, data center, server, and GPU news, emphasizing performance, scalability, and efficiency for enterprise AI deployment.
