The company focuses on three main application areas: AI and cloud networking fabrics—using a fully shared buffer to absorb microbursts that cause packet drops and latency spikes, critical for collective training operations; infrastructure offloading—handling security, storage protocol, and telemetry inline at wire speed on the DPU, freeing host CPUs; and high-performance storage networking—fusing compute and storage networking at wire speed to keep GPUs fed. Xsight is also expanding into deep space communications, where its processing handles high throughput under radiation and extreme environmental constraints. Customer concerns center on time to market (AI deployment cycles are compressed) and lock-in (proprietary SDKs limit leverage). Xsight addresses these with open standards and a fully open instruction set, letting customers own their software investment. Competitively, Xsight differentiates via architecture (E1-SoC, first fully software-defined 800G DPU with 64 Arm Neoverse N2 cores in the data path, offering ~4x inline CPU performance), openness (no proprietary lock-in), and speed—moving faster than incumbents without legacy constraints.
