One year ago, Philippe Nicolas announced he had become the new owner of StorageNewsletter, following a long-standing collaboration. Now, on July 2, 2026, he shares key achievements and figures. Since the online version launched in 2007 (the print publication began in 1988), StorageNewsletter has published 83,154 articles, including today's news. Over the past 12 months alone, 3,182 articles were produced—more than 12 pieces of content every single day, with no day without new information. Content spans press releases, company profiles, exclusive interviews, event recaps, opinion pieces, technology analysis, financial reports, positioning papers, and personnel moves. As AI transforms IT, the editorial team has broadened coverage to include memory, processors and accelerators, networking, infrastructure, data centers and their energy needs, alongside various AI angles. The first edition of the StorageNewsletter Awards engaged the reader community; the 2027 edition will launch on December 1, 2026, with new categories. A conference directory lists industry events, and users are welcome to add their own. The publication remains committed to collaborating with partners: event organizers, vendors, channel partners, research and analyst firms, press agencies, research centers, and universities. New services are coming soon, while the model stays free to submit news and free to read. Nicolas states this confirms StorageNewsletter remains "the Bible of the Data Storage Industry." He notes attempts by others to follow their footsteps, wishing them luck and saying it validates their model and mission. The months ahead promise to be very interesting.
